The South Carolina Pawnbrokers’ Association (SCPA) is the unified voice of the Palmetto State’s pawn industry – providing education, advocacy, and networking for its members.
We want you to take an active role in the development of the pawn industry and our association in South Carolina, so please mark your calendar for Saturday, August 27, 2016, and join us at the Columbia Marriott (1200 Hampton Street Columbia, SC 29201).
This year’s membership meeting and dinner are sponsored by Geib Refining Corporation, Palak Diam, and Wexler Insurance Agency. Please support our sponsors.
We will begin with check-in at 4:15 before a presentation from the Department of Consumer Affairs at 5:00 and end with a dinner at 6:00.
If you aren’t an Association member or need to renew your membership, simply download, complete, and mail THIS membership form.
The presentation from the Department of Consumer Affairs — including a question and answer period — will cover the sweeping legislation that is changing how we will be able to compete with neighboring states as our section in the South Carolina Code of Laws has been updated for the first time since 1988.
The dinner will provide everyone an opportunity to network with fellow pawnbrokers before we honor several legislators who have been so supportive of our industry in the South Carolina General Assembly.
The cost to attend is only $32.00 per person. Tickets are available by downloading, completing, and mailing THIS registration form.
This is a meeting for Association members only, so to attend the event, you must have paid membership submitted along with a paid reservation form.
Membership payments and event registrations should be mailed to:
